Abortion was decriminalised in Victoria almost 20 years ago. But there are still access barriers, and it is resulting in care being delayed or flat out denied.

That’s why Animal Justice Party MP Georgie Purcell and and Legalise Cannabis Party MP Rachel Payne compiled this report — to push the Victorian Government to address this crisis.

Access to abortion is under threat globally, and as a state, Victoria must not only protect existing rights, but expand them.

This collaborative report details the key barriers including affordability, accessibility, conscientious objectors and workforce shortages.

Not only does it identify the problems, but it also details eight key recommendations that would help address these barriers.
